Grilled Pepper Salad

Mashwiya (meh-shwee- uh) is a traditional grilled pepper salad. The peppers, tomatoes, and onions are blackened in a charcoal grill which utilizes the wood from branches of Tunisian olive trees. Once the blackened skins are peeled away the vegetables are crushed with a special blend of spices leaving you with a flavourful accompaniment to any meal. To create an ancient Mediterranean appetizer spread our Mashwiya across a small plate and garnish with olives, tuna, a hardboiled egg, and a drizzle of our Fafani Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
